In early 2010, Hong Hu and I co-founded 500friends. Prior to diving into the company, Hong was working towards his Masters Degree in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. Hong had previously earned multiple degrees with honors in (all from UC Berkeley) Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Math, all while working at a start-up. I have always followed an entrepreneurial path and had previously founded and sold two e-commerce companies and consulted for many others.
