Arif Damji
Sr. Director, Strategy & Development at 500friends, a Merkle Company

Arif serves as the Senior Director of Strategy & Development for 500friends. Through his role he helps to formulate the vision and strategy for numerous successful loyalty programs, whilst also driving many of 500friends’ strategic partnerships. Prior to 500friends, Arif was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company serving multiple industries including Travel, Financial Services, and Marketing Services. Before joining McKinsey & Co, he worked with a number of financial services firms. Arif holds a M.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a M.S. in Management Science from Stanford University.

Christopher Matz
VP, Analytics, Retail & Consumer Goods at Merkle

Christopher is a business analytics and technology executive with more than 15 years experience helping retailers worldwide create value with predictive analytics and business intelligence. With various leadership roles in the areas of business development, consulting, and training, Chris provides an in-depth understanding of retail business with expertise in the application of advanced analytics and technology to address retail merchandising, marketing, and supply chain challenges. He has worked with retailers across several sectors, including fashion apparel, grocery, specialty retail, and department stores, in North America, Europe, and Latin America. Christopher came to Merkle from SAS Institute where he spent 10+ years developing their Retail Practice. He most recently held the position of Director of Retail & Consumer Goods Consulting. Christopher graduated from Saint Anselm College and received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
